Whether you are new to cameras or a pro, learning how to take better pictures and or video in the environment and of the subject you’re interested in is the key to creating stunning images, to keep, share and enjoy.

One of the things we focus most on is knowing how to get the best from your kit, so you have less faff and more fun. Camera’s can seem like they get in the way, but if you plan your kit right, it becomes a really easy fun part of your adventure. Adventure Camera shooting is all about immersing yourself in the environment and really experiencing it, from that the best captures come.
In these courses we cover everything you’ll need to know from camera and kit selection, how to set your camera for the best results, safety shooting, lighting, housings, positioning, preparation as well as surface and subsurface skills.
Ben has shot with Komodo Dragons, Tigers, Lions, Whales, Sharks and most recently in the water with Crocodiles and teaches this course from real experience.

Underwater Camera – Level 1 – with Dives
On this 1 day course we cover everything you’ll need to know for shooting stills and video Underwater. You don’t need a pro camera to take great underwater pics, you just need to know how to take the right shots.
From surface skills, to kit prep and planning to safe shooting and how to get vibrant colourful images that encapsulate the subject. Got a camera? Whatever you shoot on we will show you how to get the most out of it. Not got one yet? Borrow a camera from us and identify what camera would be best for you.
Once the theory is out of the way, it’s time to get into the water and practice what we have learned. In the water we will have the opportunity to take multiple shots both independent and guided. After the dive we will review and discuss the shots taken and how to improve them.

Underwater Camera Level 1 – without Dives
On this 1 day course we cover everything you’ll need to know for shooting stills and video Underwater. You don’t need a pro camera to take great underwater pics, you just need to know how to take the right shots.

Underwater Camera Level 2 Speciality – with Dives
On this 1 day course we cover some speciality Underwater shooting skills. On the L1 course you cover everything you need to know to get shooting, but if you are looking to improve on some Specialities this is the course for you. So you know your camera and have taken some good shots but you specifically want to get better at taking shots of people, structures or wildlife or improve your use of lighting or macro and or get into more creative photography or to use multiple camera rigs or remote rigs.

Wildlife Stills & Video Shooting
For adventures with wildlife above the surface, be it on land or from a boat, this course covers more than just how to set up your camera and what lenses to use, it’s also a lot about that animal. How should you plan the shot? What is the animal’s behaviour likely to be, what considerations do you have to take?
If you’re looking to shoot with wildlife, this course will teach you everything you need to know and give you real, practical skills.
The standard course is based in West London with deer, however there are also options for wolves and wild horses in the UK. For more exotic animals see below.

Underwater VR 360 Camera 
If you are looking to shoot VR or multi cam underwater this is the course for you. From camera choice to work flow this covers everything you’ll need to fully capture your adventure in VR / 360.

Underwater Drone Pilots Course
As specialisms go Underwater Drone Piloting is up there. Being competent around the water and with the Drone as well as understanding how to get the shot you want is a lot to get your head around but that’s just the start. Safety, Task Protocol, Mapping, Monitoring and Recovery are all part of the Underwater Drone Pilots Course.

Video Editing Level 1 Course
So you have some amazing footage, you’re sure it’s great but you can’t get your head around video editing software or if you can you can’t get it to really ‘work’. Whether it’s about sharing it with family and friends, putting on social media or for work uses, this video editing course will teach you everything you need to turn those clips into great, enjoyable, engaging videos. We will also cover things like music licensing use as well as sound and stings. The course can be in person or virtual attendance. You will need a computer capable of running editing software. In advance of the course date you’ll be able to discuss the NLE editing programs that will suit you best.

Still Image Editing Course
So you have taken some good pictures, the subject is there but you don’t know how to make them really stand out and make them great. The edit is what really makes the difference and on this course you’ll learn how to take your stills, get them through the edit and make the most of them. Whether you use an editing app on your phone or one on your computer or even if you’ve not got that far yet, we will guide you step by step into creating a better image. The course can be in person or virtual attendance. You’ll need a computer, tablet or phone, whatever you are planning on editing on.

Film & Video Production
If you are interested in working in Film & Video Production as a Producer and or Content Creator this Course focuses beyond what it takes to simply shoot and edit shots and focuses more on storytelling, planning, budgeting, crewing, kit, logistics, infrastructure and of course how to make it commercial and bring it to market.
The course can be in person or virtual attendance. You’ll need a computer, tablet or phone, whatever you are planning on working on.

Water Adventures
Diving with Manatee 
Scuba with the elusive manatee in one of the world’s best places to see them. While looking for the manatee and diving with them you will see rare corals, giant schools of fish including large Tarpon and the biggest lobsters you’ll ever see.

Whale Shark & Manatee
Swim with Whale Shark and Scuba with the elusive manatee in one of the world’s best places to see them. Whale sharks are prolific here and the captains know exactly where to find them. While looking for the manatee and diving with them you will see rare corals, giant schools of fish including large Tarpon and the biggest lobsters you’ll ever see.

Crocodiles – Underwater Encounter
Not for the fainthearted, in this trip you will snorkel, freedive with wild 5.5m crocodiles. This is the most incredible adventure one that you’ll never forget. Staying in a remote area, working with wild crocs, this is where you can get the experience and shot of a lifetime.

Orca – Swimming with Killer Whales
Killer Whales are one of the ocean’s most incredible creatures, truly apex predators and yet gentle, being in the water with these creatures is a once in a lifetime experience. This is a cold water experience and often the water is darker.

Diving with Bull Sharks
With a reputation that precedes them Bull Sharks are a foreboding beast, but on this adventure we get to see them up close and personal when they are at their most calm. It’s a wonderful experience and the chance to see one of the most impressive and legendary sharks.

Great White Sharks in clear water
Get ready to see the biggest predatory shark in the ocean doing what they do best in the clearest water in the world. This Luxury liveaboard has everything you need. Time your trip to see the sharks displaying a range of behaviours and if you are time it just right and with a bit of luck, see ‘Big Blue’ the massive female Great White that has become world famous for her giant size!

Ultimate Underwater Explorer – Orca, Great Hammerhead, Tiger, Humpback, Whale Shark and MORE
This really is one of the most special adventures. It’s a luxury liveaboard so you’ll be in absolute comfort between dives. This very special place has almost every type of large marine predator as well as everything they prey upon – both in superschools. This deep water adventure is the most incredible place on earth and the trip will cover some incredible diving.

Tiger Sharks
Come and dive with these large predatory sharks, watching as they circle and come in to feed. These sharks are highly intelligent and incredibly powerful and just being in the water with them is a real thrill and a great opportunity to take a phenomenal picture.

The Sardine Run – Sharks & Dolphins
Witness one of the greatest hunting activities on earth as sharks and dolphins hunt huge bait balls of sardines as they migrate. It’s a spectacle not to be missed. This is clear water diving but requires a minimum of Advanced Diver and must be comfortable around large wildlife.

Swimming with Humpbacks
On this trip you can swim with these large amazing creatures in warm clear waters. This fantastic place has a great dynamic for the very best in water whale encounters. This can be done as a freediving / snorkeling activity but a good level of fitness and competency is required.

Sharks, Mantas & Dragons
Indonesia has a lot to offer and in one trip, you can see Sharks, Mantas and the infamous Komodo Dragons. This includes a live aboard and island time. The diving is incredible and you’ll see a lot of larger sharks and Mantas here. The currents are strong, so expect drift dives.

Land Adventures
Crocodiles – Surface Encounter
So you are interested in getting up close and or photographing or filming crocs but don’t fancy getting in with them and doing the Swimming with Crocs encounter? Then this might be for you. This activity can be as little as 5 days but longer if desired and you can add on Hippos too!

BIG 5 – Ultimate Safari
Safari is an incredible experience, but choosing the right safari and going with the right guides makes all the difference. Lions, Elephants, Hippo, Rhino, Leopard, Cheetah, Crocodiles… they are just the start. Come with us on the safari adventure of a lifetime and see the world’s most amazing animals in their natural habitat. This is no safari park… this is a real safari, away from the crowds.

Tigers
Seeing a Tiger in the wild is an incredible thing. They are so much more impressive than you can imagine. The sound of their breath or growl hits you hard. We have found the best place for see these elusive creatures in the wild.

Great Apes – Mountain Gorillas
Seeing a mountain gorilla in the flesh as they move through the terrain, the size, weight and power of these creatures is so impressive but it’s when you look into their eyes you’ll be truly amazed. With fantastic guides that know the terrain and the local population well these trip will get you up close to one of our closest relatives.

Mayan Cave and Temple Exploration, Rainforest
If you have ever wanted to feel like Indiana Jones this is the one for you. We hike through the jungle and head inside a Mayan Cave jumping into the water and swimming into the darkness where the hike continues. You’ll find artifacts and even bodies still remaining inside the cave. We will then head to an infamous series of temples. We will see sloth, monkeys and many other species and if you are incredibly lucky a jaguar.
